The honest close

What sixteen weeks should actually produce, and what the maximum is really for.

Expected results

Sixteen weeks, high adherence, sleep and food handled:

Training ageLean mass
Intermediate (2–3 yr)1.5–3 kg
Advanced (3–5 yr)1–2 kg
Very advanced (5+ yr)0.5–1 kg

Against Brut over the same period, expect perhaps 20–40% more, for roughly double the time investment and substantially more recovery cost.

That ratio is the whole story. It is a real gain and a real cost, and whether it is worth it depends entirely on what else you are doing with those hours.

What the maximum is actually for

Not permanent occupancy. A season.

Run DUOX when you have genuine slack — a summer, a break between commitments, a stretch where sleep and food are under your control. Then come back to something sustainable.

The people who get the most from a maximal program are the ones who run it deliberately for sixteen weeks and then stop, not the ones who try to live there.

The most useful thing this produces

Not the muscle. The list of what you can drop.

Run the maximum once, properly, and you learn empirically which levers were load-bearing and which were expensive theatre. For most people that list is much closer to Brut's structure than to this one — and knowing that from experience rather than from being told is worth more than the extra kilo.

The last honest note

This program is a defensible set of choices at the top of a dose-response curve that is genuinely flattening there.

The largest meta-regression available found volume raises hypertrophy with diminishing returns, and that frequency's independent effect on hypertrophy was compatible with negligible. This program uses high volume because the curve still rises, and 3× frequency for session quality rather than because splitting sets is independently magic.

If someone tells you their program is optimal, they are selling something. This one is well-reasoned, honestly costed, and one of several defensible answers.

The mechanism is the constant. Everything above it is a bet — and this course has tried to tell you the odds.
