Per-Product Execution Playbooks

35 min read

The lean operator's build manual — US market, July 2026 | Budget: $500–$2,000 | Channel: TikTok organic + TikTok Shop affiliates | Not cold Meta.

This is a build manual, not a theory deck. Nine products, ranked. Four Top Builds (do one of these first) and five Conditionals (only if you have an unfair advantage — an angle, an audience, or a creator relationship). Read Part 0 once. It's the operating system every playbook runs on. Then pick ONE product, run its 30-day plan, and don't touch a second SKU until the first clears $10k/mo.

PART 0 — THE 2026 OPERATING SYSTEM (read once, applies to all 9)

The four laws that make or break every build below:

1. De minimis is dead. Source domestic. The $800 de minimis exemption was repealed. China-direct dropshipping is now slow, taxed at the border, and margin-negative. AliExpress is for buying ONE sample to hold in your hand — never for fulfillment. Every product here is sourced US-made or from a US warehouse. If a supplier can't ship from inside the US in 3–5 days, walk.

2. Price to a $79+ bundle. There is a hard conversion cliff at $80 on TikTok. Below $80, impulse-buy behavior holds. At $80+, buyers "add to cart and think about it" and you lose them. So every offer lands at $79 (or $89/$129 where the value is undeniable) and you sell the full time-to-truth supply — enough product that the customer can actually reach the day the result shows up. A 30-day supply that runs out before the result lands is how you manufacture 1-star reviews. Sell the whole runway.

3. Pre-sell to fund the MOQ. Do not float inventory on your own cash. The sequence:

  • Build a waitlist landing page (email capture, "Founding 100" framing).
  • Drive organic TikTok to it for 10–14 days.
  • Open Founding 100 at $79 (pre-order, ships in ~3 weeks). You need only ~45 pre-orders ($3,555) to cover a typical ~$3,500 US production run (e.g., Vitalabs 144-unit NSF/cGMP batch). Target 100 = $7,900 = inventory + cushion.
  • Customer cash pays for the MOQ. You never front more than sample + Shopify + a domain.

4. Channel is organic TikTok + TikTok Shop affiliates. Blended CAC target ~$20.68 on a $79 bundle. You do NOT open a cold Meta account and light $30/day on fire. The engine:

  • You post 2–3x/day (faceless myth-bust + POV formats below).
  • You seed 30–50 TikTok Shop affiliates with free product via Target Collaboration. You set commission at 18–20% (= ~$14–$16 on a $79 order). You pay commission only on sales — so CAC is performance-bounded by design.
  • You amplify winners only. When an organic or affiliate video converts, Spark-Ads-boost THAT proven video at $10–20/day. Never boost cold.
  • Math: 20% commission ($15.80) + amortized sample/content ($3–5) ≈ $20.68 CAC. Organic hits cost $0.

The claims rules (violate these and you get sued or shut down):

  • Supplements: Structure/function claims ONLY ("supports muscle strength," "supports regular cycles"). Print the DSHEA disclaimer: "These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease." Never name a disease. Never say "FDA approved." Say "made in an FDA-registered, cGMP facility."
  • Cosmetics/topicals: Comply with MoCRA — register the facility, list the product, name a Responsible Person, keep safety substantiation, put an adverse-event contact on the label.
  • Devices (shower filter): Claim only what's certified (NSF/ANSI 177 = chlorine). Never claim what you can't test.
  • Every claim needs substantiation on file (FTC). Cite the ingredient's research, not a cure.

The lean app stack (~$75/mo — same for every build):

AppJobCost
Shopify BasicStore + checkout$39/mo (grab the $1/mo intro)
KlaviyoEmail/SMS flowsFree to 250 contacts
LooxPhoto/video reviews + UGC$9.99/mo
VitalsBundles, upsells, urgency, timers (40 tools in 1)$29.99/mo
ReConvertPost-purchase one-click upsell (attach items)$6.99/mo
TidioChat + FAQ botFree

Theme: Sense or Craft (free, single-product-friendly). Payments: Shopify Payments + Shop Pay + PayPal. Business email via Google Workspace ($7/mo). That's the whole overhead.

Every 30-day plan below runs the same skeleton: Week 1 sample + waitlist + store shell. Week 2 film 15 videos + seed affiliates + open Founding 100. Week 3 pre-sell hard + place the production order with customer cash. Week 4 fulfill founders + turn on replenishment + Spark-boost winners.

THE FOUR TOP BUILDS

BUILD 1 — CREATINE FOR WOMEN

Why this wins: Creatine is the most-studied supplement on earth, dirt-cheap to make, and the "for women / perimenopause" angle is wide-open white space. Every brand sells to 22-year-old gym bros. Nobody owns the 40–55 perimenopausal woman who just learned creatine supports lean muscle, bone, and cognition — and is terrified of "bloat." You bust the myth, you own the segment.

Suppliers (US-made, using Creapure raw material)

The finished pouch is filled/labeled in the US; the creatine inside should be Creapure (AlzChem, German-sourced micronized creatine monohydrate — the purity benchmark). That's legal and it's your credibility hook: US-manufactured, Creapure-inside.

  • Supliful — zero-MOQ US supplements, print-on-demand. Use this to validate only (test the offer with real inventory before committing cash). Search their catalog: creatine monohydrate. Ask: "Is your creatine Creapure-branded or generic? Can I private-label a 400g pouch? Per-unit cost at 1 / 50 / 144 units?"
  • Vitalabs — 144-MOQ, NSF-certified cGMP, does powders/tubs. Your real production partner. Ask: "Can you formulate micronized creatine monohydrate using Creapure? 400g stand-up pouch with my label? Lead time? COA per batch? Cost at 144 and 500 units?"
  • Custom Nutra (~48 MOQ) and Pure Private Label — backup quotes. Always get 3 quotes.
  • What to always ask: Creapure vs generic, micronized (yes — dissolves better, less grit, less GI upset), 3rd-party COA, allergen statement, and whether they'll print the "5g scoop included" and dosing on-pack.

Do NOT do a loading phase. Modern protocol = flat 5g/day. Simpler to explain, less GI drama, less bloat fear.

Pick: Strong Girl Co. — the offer name and brand reinforce each other.

The Grand Slam Offer — "Strong Girl Starter" · $79

  • 2 × 400g micronized creatine (Creapure) = 800g = 160 servings ≈ 5.3 months (the full time-to-truth supply — she reaches the result before she runs out)
  • 5g dosing scoop
  • 8-Week Strong Girl Protocol (PDF: how/when to take it, paired with simple resistance movements)
  • "The Bloat Myth" one-pager (the single most important asset — see expectation copy)
  • Private community (free Skool or IG broadcast channel — "Founding Strong Girls")
  • Guarantee: "Take 5g a day for 28 days. If you don't feel stronger, we refund you in full — and you keep the creatine." (COGS is ~$10/bundle; the keep-it guarantee is nearly free and it obliterates purchase risk.)

Unit economics: Bundle COGS ~$18–24 · ship ~$7 · fees ~$2.37 · CAC ~$20.68 → ~$27 contribution (~34%) at $79. Refunds priced in at 5–8%.

3 TikTok hooks (exact first-3-second scripts)

  1. "Creatine does NOT make women bloat. That 'bloat' you're scared of is water going INTO your muscle — not your face. Here's the study." [hold pouch, point to a diagram]
  2. "If you're a woman over 40 and not on creatine, you're leaving muscle, bone, and brain on the table. Nobody told us this." [talking to camera, kitchen]
  3. "POV: you finally started 5g of creatine a day and week 3 you catch yourself carrying all the groceries in one trip." [text-on-screen, gym-bag b-roll]

The organic engine (CAC <$25)

Myth-busting is the highest-converting format for supplements because it handles the objection in the hook. Post 2–3x/day: (a) bloat-myth explainers, (b) "creatine for perimenopause" science, (c) POV strength wins, (d) comment-mining ("someone asked if creatine ruins your kidneys — no, here's why"). Seed 30–50 TikTok Shop affiliates — target women 38–55 fitness/menopause creators, not bros. Commission 20%. The perimenopause creators have tiny CPMs and rabid audiences = cheap CAC. Boost only videos that already convert.

Product page must-haves

  • Hero: "Your hair isn't the problem, your MYTH is"—style headline that leads with bloat truth
  • The bloat diagram (water into muscle, not under skin)
  • Creapure badge + "Made in an FDA-registered cGMP facility"
  • 28-day keep-it guarantee badge
  • Loox reviews filtered to 40+ women
  • Comparison: "$79 for 5 months vs. $12 tubs of clumpy generic that upset your stomach"
  • FAQ: kidneys, hair, bloat, loading, timing, coffee
  • DSHEA disclaimer in footer

Expectation-management copy (prevents the 1-star)

Name the day-3 effect and the judge-day, in the product page AND a day-3 email:

"Heads up so you're not surprised: in your first 5–7 days you may notice the scale up 1–2 lbs. This is normal and it's a GOOD sign — creatine pulls water INTO your muscle cells (that's how it works), not under your skin. It is not fat and it is not bloat. Don't judge this product by the scale. Judge it by week 4 — that's when you'll feel the strength. Take your 5g daily through day 28 before you decide."

This one paragraph is worth more than any ad. The #1 reason women quit creatine is the week-1 scale bump they weren't warned about.

Klaviyo flows

  1. Waitlist/pre-launch (3 emails): the myth → the science → "Founding 100 opens tomorrow, $79, keep-it guarantee."
  2. Welcome (post-signup): 10% + bloat one-pager.
  3. Abandoned checkout (3): "the bloat thing is a myth" → guarantee → last call.
  4. Post-purchase / onboarding (4): ship confirm → Day-3 expectation email (above) → Day-28 "judge it now + leave a photo review (Loox)" → Day-140 replenishment ("you're ~3 weeks from empty").
  5. Winback: lapsed 30 days after expected empty.

  • Week 1: Order Supliful validation unit + hold it. Buy domain, build Sense store, install stack, write page + bloat one-pager. Stand up waitlist.
  • Week 2: Film 15 myth-bust videos. Seed 40 perimenopause creators (20% commission). Open Founding 100 at $79.
  • Week 3: Post 3x/day, mine comments, pre-sell hard. Hit ~45+ pre-orders → place the 144-unit Vitalabs run with customer cash.
  • Week 4: Fulfill founders, turn on replenishment flow, Spark-boost the 1–2 videos that converted. Recruit your best affiliate as a paid ambassador.

BUILD 2 — MOUTH TAPE (COUPLES)

Why this wins: Everyone sells mouth tape to the snorer. The snorer doesn't care — he sleeps fine. The buyer is the exhausted wife who hasn't slept through the night in years. Sell to her rage and her exhaustion, ship a two-person kit, and you've reframed a commodity into a relationship rescue. It's cheap, US-made, and endlessly memeable as couples POV content.

Suppliers (US-made — mandatory, this touches the face)

  • SomniFix — the category standard, ventilation-slit design (central vent lets you breathe/talk/cough — critical safety + comfort feature). Ask about wholesale/private-label US fulfillment.
  • Dream Recovery and VIO2 — US-made alternatives; get quotes. Ask: "US-warehouse fulfillment? Private-label the pouch? Hypoallergenic medical-grade adhesive? Ventilation slit? Cost at 500 / 1,000 strips? Skin-safe adhesive substantiation on file?"
  • Physical-goods backfill if you brand your own: CJ US-warehouse / Spocket / TopDawg for boxes/nasal strips.
  • Non-negotiable: ventilation-slit tape only (never a solid seal), hypoallergenic adhesive, and a clear contraindication insert.

Brand name ideas

NameWhy
CeasefireThe offer name; owns the couples-war frame

Pick: Ceasefire.

The Grand Slam Offer — "Ceasefire Kit" · $79

  • 2 × 90-night supply (his + hers — the full quarter of nights; time-to-truth is a habit, not a dose)
  • Nasal strips (open the nose first so taping feels safe — solves the #1 fear)
  • 14-Night Reset Card (the ramp: nights 1–3 chin-strip-style partial, nights 4–14 full, "judge us on night 14")
  • Guarantee: "14 nights of real sleep or your money back — keep the tape."
  • Entry product / tripwire: a 7-Night Trial Pack at a low price for the hesitant, engineered to upgrade into the Kit.

Compliance line you must hold: NEVER claim it treats or cures snoring or sleep apnea. Frame: "promotes nasal breathing for a quieter, calmer night." Insert + page warning: "Not for use by anyone with sleep apnea, severe nasal congestion, or after alcohol/sedatives. Consult a doctor if you suspect a sleep disorder." This warning protects you AND raises perceived legitimacy.

3 TikTok hooks (couples POV, exact first-3-seconds)

  1. "I taped my husband's mouth shut and for the first time in 6 years I slept through the night. Let me explain before you call the police." [wife to camera, whispering, dark bedroom]
  2. "POV: it's 3am, he's doing the freight-train thing again, and you're googling 'is it legal to sleep in the car.'" [text-on-screen over a dark ceiling shot]
  3. "We tried the $2,000 sleep study, the wedge pillow, the app. The thing that actually shut him up was a $79 strip of tape." [couple on couch, he looks sheepish]

The organic engine (CAC <$25)

Couples POV is the cheapest reach on the platform — it's a relationship story, not a product ad, so it rides the general FYP, not just wellness. Post the wife's-exhaustion angle 2–3x/day. Seed couples/mom/marriage creators (not sleep-science accounts) with the Kit — 20% commission. The "I taped my husband" hook is inherently duet/stitch bait, so affiliate videos compound. Boost the one that goes off.

Product page must-haves

  • Hero to the WIFE: "He snores. You suffer. This ends the war in 14 nights."
  • Ventilation-slit close-up + "breathe, talk, cough — it's vented, not sealed"
  • The contraindication box (builds trust, not fear)
  • Loox video reviews from couples
  • 14-night guarantee badge · "US-made, hypoallergenic adhesive"
  • FAQ: "what if I panic," "what if I have a cold," "does it hurt to remove," "apnea?"

Expectation-management copy (prevents the 1-star)

"Night 1–3 will feel weird. The tape may feel strange, you might peel it off in your sleep, and your lips may feel a little dry — that's every first-time taper. Use the nasal strip first so your nose is open, and follow the 14-Night Reset Card. Don't judge us on night 1. Judge us on night 14 — that's when nasal breathing becomes automatic and the room goes quiet. If it doesn't, keep the tape and we'll refund you."

Klaviyo flows

  1. Waitlist (3): exhausted-wife story → the vented-tape science → Founding 100.
  2. Welcome: 10% + the 7-night trial upsell.
  3. Abandoned checkout (3): fear-handling ("it's vented") → guarantee → last call.
  4. Post-purchase (4): ship → Night-2 expectation email (above) → Night-14 "judge us + review" → Day-75 replenishment.
  5. Winback at 90 nights.

BUILD 3 — INOSITOL FOR PCOS

Why this wins: There is a massive, underserved, and loyal community of women managing irregular cycles who already know the magic phrase — "40:1 myo-inositol to D-chiro-inositol at 4g/day" — because the research is real and the Reddit/Facebook communities evangelize it. Most brands sell a vague "hormone balance" gummy at the wrong ratio and dose. You sell the clinical dose, printed on the pouch, and let the community sell it for you. This is community-first, not ads-first.

Suppliers (US-made, exact ratio is the product)

  • Vitalabs / Custom Nutra / Pure Private Label — powders, NSF/cGMP. The formulation IS the moat: myo-inositol : D-chiro-inositol = 40:1, dosed to 4g myo + 100mg DCI/day. Ask: "Can you hit exactly 40:1 myo:DCI at 4g myo per daily serving? Unflavored powder, 90-day pouch? COA confirming the ratio? Cost at 144 / 500?" The COA proving 40:1 is your credibility asset — most competitors won't show theirs.
  • Supliful to validate the offer first (check if their inositol matches ratio; if not, validate demand with waitlist alone).

Brand name ideas

NameWhy
40:1The protocol IS the brand — unforgettable, ownable
Cycle StudyClinical, cycle-facing
OvamiSoft, ovary root, brandable
The RatioOwns the one thing competitors get wrong

Pick: 40:1.

The Grand Slam Offer — "The 40:1 Protocol" · $79

  • 90-day supply at clinical 4g/day, 40:1 ratio printed on the pouch (the full time-to-truth window — cycle studies run 3 months)
  • Cycle Journal (track cycles across the 90 days — turns waiting into engagement)
  • Food Guide (simple insulin-friendly eating, no crash-diet nonsense)
  • Private community (the retention engine)
  • Guarantee: "Complete the 90-day protocol. If your cycles haven't gotten more predictable, full refund — keep the pouch."

Compliance — the tightrope: You may brand around the audience and the ingredient research, but the product must never claim to treat, cure, or manage PCOS, or improve fertility/help you conceive. On-label structure/function only: "supports regular menstrual cycles," "supports metabolic and hormonal balance." Marketing references the community and the clinical literature on the ingredient ("the ratio the studies used"), not a promise. DSHEA disclaimer everywhere. When in doubt, cite the study, describe the audience, promise nothing.

3 TikTok hooks (exact first-3-seconds)

  1. "If your inositol isn't 40 to 1, you bought the wrong one. Here's the ratio the clinical studies actually used — check your label right now." [hold competitor pouch, then yours]
  2. "Three things I wish someone told me the day my cycle went haywire — and the $79 one that took 90 days to change everything." [talking to camera, soft]
  3. "POV: cycle day 45 again. Before you spiral — the research says give the 40:1 protocol a full 3 cycles." [text-on-screen, calendar b-roll]

The organic engine (CAC <$25) — community-first

This one is NOT an ad play. Go where they already are: r/PCOS, r/TTCPCOS, and the big Facebook PCOS groups. Be a genuine member — answer questions, share the ratio science, never spam. Post the "check your label / 40:1" education on TikTok 2–3x/day. Seed cycle-tracking and PCOS-community creators (18–20% commission) — their audiences convert at absurd rates because trust is pre-built. The Cycle Journal + community produce the UGC that fuels the next wave. CAC stays low because the community does the persuading.

Product page must-haves

  • Hero: "The 40:1 ratio the clinical studies actually used — printed on the pouch."
  • Photo of the pouch showing 4g / 40:1 dosing panel
  • COA snippet proving the ratio
  • Cycle Journal + community preview
  • Loox reviews (cycle-tracking screenshots make incredible UGC)
  • 90-day keep-it guarantee · cGMP badge
  • FAQ: taste, mixing, timing, "how long until I notice," DCI role
  • DSHEA disclaimer

Expectation-management copy (prevents the 1-star)

"Two honest things. First: at 4g, some people feel mild nausea or loose stools in the first 3–5 days as your body adjusts — take it with food and split the dose morning/night and it settles. Second, and most important: this is not an overnight fix. The clinical research ran for three full cycles before measuring change — that's exactly why this is a 90-day protocol and not a 30-day bottle. Don't judge it at week 2. Track your cycles in the journal and judge it at cycle 3. If nothing's shifted by then, keep the pouch and we'll refund you."

Klaviyo flows

  1. Waitlist (3): the ratio education → the community → Founding 100.
  2. Welcome: journal PDF + 10%.

BUILD 4 — SHOWER FILTER + CARTRIDGE

Why this wins: One insight sells this whole product: "Your hair isn't damaged — your water is." It reframes a hair problem the customer has been blaming on herself onto chlorine in her tap water. The proof is visual and undeniable (the cartridge turns brown), it's a razor-and-blade model ($79 device + $30 recurring cartridge), and it's the funding vehicle for a Phase-2 hair kit. City-specific content gives you infinite local hooks.

Suppliers (US-warehouse physical goods)

  • CJ US-warehouse / Spocket / TopDawg — search shower filter chlorine KDF — fast US fulfillment, private-label boxes. Ask: "Ships from a US warehouse in 3–5 days? Private-label the housing + box? What media — KDF-55 + calcium sulfite? Is it NSF/ANSI 177 certified for chlorine reduction? Replacement-cartridge cost and lifespan? Does it include Teflon tape?"
  • What to verify: KDF-55 + calcium sulfite media (removes chlorine/chloramine), NSF/ANSI 177 certification (your only credible claim), cartridge lifespan ~90 days, and that the housing fits standard US shower arms.
  • Ship every order with Teflon/PTFE plumber's tape + a link to a 60-second install video (kills the "it leaks" 1-star).

Brand name ideas

The Grand Slam Offer — $79 device + $30 cartridge

  • $79 filter device (installs in 5 min, Teflon tape + install video included)
  • First 90-day cartridge included; replacement cartridge $30 every 90 days (subscribe = the business)
  • Guarantee — the UGC engine: "Run it 30 days. If your cartridge doesn't turn brown, full refund." (It always turns brown. This guarantee generates your own proof content — customers film the brown cartridge for you.)
  • Phase-2: the first winner funds a Hair Density Kit (Build 6) — filter + serum bundle at $129.

Honesty that prevents refunds: State plainly: "This removes chlorine and chloramine — the stuff drying out your hair and skin. It does NOT soften water or remove hardness/minerals." Claiming it softens water = guaranteed 1-stars from people with spotty glass. Under-claim, over-deliver.

3 TikTok hooks (exact first-3-seconds)

  1. "Your hair isn't damaged. Your water is. Watch what came out of my shower filter after 30 days in [city]." [hold up brown cartridge, slow zoom]
  2. "People in [city]: your tap water has some of the highest chlorine in the country and it's wrecking your hair. Here's the fix." [text-on-screen + local water-report screenshot]
  3. "I spent $400 on hair products before I realized the problem was coming out of my showerhead." [POV, bathroom]

The organic engine (CAC <$25)

City-specific content is an infinite content machine — remake the exact same video for Phoenix, Dallas, Vegas, Tampa (high-chlorine metros), each pulling that city's local FYP. Post 2–3x/day. The brown-cartridge reveal is unstoppable visual proof — you and your affiliates both film it. Seed hair + home creators (18–20% commission). Because the guarantee manufactures brown-cartridge UGC, your review wall builds itself. Boost the city video that pops.

Product page must-haves

  • Hero: "Your hair isn't damaged. Your water is."
  • Brown-cartridge before/after (the whole sale)
  • NSF/ANSI 177 badge + "removes chlorine & chloramine — not hardness" (honesty box)

  • Subscribe-and-save toggle on the $30 cartridge (default it on)
  • Loox video reviews of brown cartridges
  • 30-day brown-or-refund guarantee
  • FAQ: install, leaks, water pressure, "does it soften water" (no), lifespan

Expectation-management copy (prevents the 1-star)

"Two things so you're not surprised. First, your very first shower might smell or feel slightly different and pressure can dip a touch as the media settles in the first day or two — normal. Second, be clear on what this does: it strips chlorine, not hardness. If you have hard-water spots on glass, this won't fix that (nothing in a shower filter does). Judge it on your hair and skin at 2–4 weeks, and check the cartridge at day 30 — when it's brown, that's everything it pulled off your body instead. Install with the included Teflon tape and the 60-second video and it won't leak."

The wedge: "Salmon DNA" / PDRN is the ingredient behind $500 med-spa "salmon sperm facials" (Rejuran). The at-home topical version is an unclaimed category — but you must be honest that topical PDRN ≠ the injectable. That honesty IS the positioning.

  • Suppliers: US cosmetic contract manufacturer / US-warehouse skincare private-label. Search PDRN serum private label US. Ask: "US-made or US-warehouse? • 3 hooks: (1) "The $500 'salmon DNA' facial has an $89 at-home version — and I'll be honest about what it can and can't do." (2) "Estheticians are gatekeeping salmon DNA. Here's the topical version you can actually buy." (3) "POV: you can't afford the $500 injectable so you tried the topical for 60 days."
  • Organic engine: skincare/esthetician creators, "ingredient honesty" format (rare in beauty = trust). 18–20% commission. Boost winners.
  • Product page: hero "$500 med-spa science, honestly downsized"; honesty box (topical ≠ injectable, no needles = gentler/slower); MoCRA Responsible Person + adverse-event contact on label; Loox; 60-day guarantee.
  • Expectation copy (stops 1-stars): "Day 2–3 you may get slight purging/tingling as skin adjusts — normal, ease in every other night first. And the honest part: this is topical, not the injectable, so it works gradually. Don't judge at week 1 — judge your skin at 8 weeks in the same lighting."
  • Klaviyo: waitlist → welcome → abandoned (3) → post-purchase w/ Day-3 expectation email + Day-56 review/replenish → winback.
  • Metrics: CVR 2–4%, CAC <$25, 60-day repeat >25%, refund <10%.
  • 30-day: W1 sample + MoCRA check + store; W2 film 15 + seed 30 esthetician creators + Founding 100; W3 pre-sell + order; W4 fulfill + boost winner.

CONDITIONAL 6 — WOMEN'S HAIR DENSITY KIT · $129

The wedge: Bundles the Build-4 shower filter with a peptide serum. The killer move: you SELL the week-3 shedding phase instead of hiding it — because switching routines triggers a shed, and unwarned customers rage-refund on day 20.

  • Suppliers: shower filter (Build 4 supplier) + US-made peptide/rosemary/caffeine scalp serum (US cosmetic private-label, MoCRA-compliant). Ask serum maker: "US-made? MoCRA registered? Actives + %? MOQ?"
  • Brand names: Density, Week Three, Root Theory, Fuller Co.pick: Week Three (names the phase you own).
  • Grand Slam Offer ($129): shower filter + 90-day serum + derma-roller + Shed Calendar + "Complete the full 90 days and if your hair doesn't look fuller, full refund" (90-day guarantee gate — you must finish to claim, which also gets them past the shed).
  • Never say "regrows." Say "supports the look of fuller, denser-appearing hair." (Regrowth = drug claim.)
  • 3 hooks: (1) "If your hair sheds MORE in week 3, don't panic — that's supposed to happen. Here's why." (2) "Your thinning hair isn't genetics yet — it's your water plus a missing 3-minute step." (3) "POV: week 3, you're shedding and freaking out — the Shed Calendar says keep going."
  • Organic engine: hair-loss/thinning-hair creators, the "shed phase" education format (nobody else explains it = you own it). 18–20% commission.
  • Product page: hero "Fuller-looking hair in 90 days — including the shed that scares everyone"; the Shed Calendar graphic; filter + serum + roller; MoCRA compliance; 90-day gated guarantee; Loox; "never regrows/no drug claims" honesty.
  • Expectation copy (the whole product): "Around week 3 you WILL shed more — this is the old hair making room, it's documented, and it's the sign it's working. The Shed Calendar shows you exactly when it starts and ends. Do not judge this before day 90. Quitting during the shed is quitting right before the payoff."
  • Klaviyo: waitlist → welcome + Shed Calendar → abandoned (3) → post-purchase with Week-2 "the shed is coming" email (pre-empt it) + Day-90 judge/review + serum replenishment → winback.
  • Metrics: CVR 2–4%, CAC <$25, 90-day completion >60% (the guarantee gate drives this), refund <12%, serum+cartridge subscribe >30%.
  • 30-day: W1 source both SKUs + store; W2 film 15 shed-education + seed 30 hair creators + Founding 100; W3 pre-sell + order; W4 fulfill + boost the shed video.

CONDITIONAL 7 — TEETH WHITENING · $79

The wedge: Stack instant + permanent — purple serum (color-theory optics, instant) plus peroxide (real bleaching, permanent) — and include the desensitizing gel competitors leave out (that's what causes the 1-star). This is a cash product, not LTV — front-load AOV, don't expect repeats.

  • Suppliers: US-warehouse oral-care private-label. Search teeth whitening private label US warehouse. Ask: "US fulfillment? Carbamide/hydrogen peroxide %? Purple (color-correcting) serum available? Can you include potassium-nitrate desensitizing gel? LED tray? MOQ/cost?"
  • Brand names: Violet, Two-Step White, Gloss, Shade Zeropick: Two-Step White (names the instant+permanent mechanic).
  • Grand Slam Offer ($79): purple serum (instant) + peroxide gel + LED tray + desensitizing gel + shade card + "Brighter in one use or money back — keep it."
  • NEVER "FDA approved." Say "made in an FDA-registered facility."
  • 3 hooks: (1) "Purple toothpaste makes you look whiter TODAY but doesn't actually whiten. Do this instead — you need both." (2) "Whitening burns because they left OUT the one gel that stops it. Ours is in the box." (3) "POV: full mouth of purple, instant white for the date tonight — and the real whitening happens overnight."
  • Organic engine: the "shade card proof" format (before/after against a physical shade card = trust). Beauty/dental creators, 18–20% commission. Cash product, so lean harder on Spark-boosting winners for volume.
  • Product page: hero "Instant + permanent — the two-step whitening most brands only half-sell"; shade-card before/afters; "desensitizing gel included" callout; how purple vs peroxide differ; Loox; one-use guarantee; no "FDA approved."
  • Expectation copy: "Day 1–2 you may feel tooth sensitivity or a zing — that's normal and it's why we include the desensitizing gel (competitors don't). Use it after each session. The purple serum whitens instantly and optically (it fades — reapply for events); the peroxide whitens permanently over ~2 weeks. Judge the real result at day 14, not day 1."
  • Klaviyo: waitlist → welcome → abandoned (3) → post-purchase w/ Day-1 sensitivity/desensitizing-gel email + Day-14 review + a refill/whitening-pen cross-sell (limited repeat) → winback low.
  • Metrics: CVR 3–5%, CAC <$25, AOV is king — attach LED/pen to push $79→$95, refund <8%. Don't chase LTV.
  • 30-day: W1 sample + shade-card test + store; W2 film 15 shade-proof + seed 30 dental/beauty creators + Founding 100; W3 pre-sell + order; W4 fulfill + Spark-boost hardest (cash product = volume game).

CONDITIONAL 8 — MAGNESIUM SLEEP STACK · $79

The wedge: Own one symptom — the 3am wake-up — instead of generic "better sleep." Use the right forms (glycinate + L-threonate), NOT oxide (oxide is a laxative that barely absorbs = the 1-star), and keep melatonin at 0.5–1mg, not the 5–10mg megadoses that cause grogginess.

  • Suppliers: Vitalabs / Custom Nutra / Supliful (capsules). Ask: "Magnesium glycinate + L-threonate blend (NOT oxide)? Elemental mg per serving? Melatonin doseable at 0.5–1mg? Third-party COA? NSF/cGMP? MOQ/cost?"
  • Brand names: 3AM, Threonate Co., Stay Down, Night Shiftpick: 3AM (owns the symptom).
  • Grand Slam Offer ($79): 90-day stack (glycinate + L-threonate + 0.5–1mg melatonin) + wind-down protocol card + "14 nights of staying asleep or refund — keep the bottle." (90-day = full time-to-truth; sleep habits form over weeks.)
  • Structure/function only. "Supports staying asleep / calm." Never "treats insomnia." DSHEA disclaimer.
  • 3 hooks: (1) "If you wake up at 3am every night, it's probably NOT stress — and it's definitely not magnesium OXIDE. Here's the form you need." (2) "The magnesium in your cabinet is the laxative kind. This is why it's not helping you sleep." (3) "POV: first night you actually slept THROUGH 3am."
  • Organic engine: the "check your magnesium form" education format (most people own oxide = instant hook). Sleep/wellness creators, 18–20% commission.
  • Product page: hero "Own your 3am wake-up"; glycinate/L-threonate vs oxide comparison; "only 0.5–1mg melatonin — no grogginess"; elemental mg panel; Loox; 14-night guarantee; DSHEA.
  • Expectation copy: "First 2–3 nights: low-dose melatonin can bring vivid dreams and one or two mornings might feel slightly foggy as you dial in — that fades, and our dose is intentionally tiny (0.5–1mg) to avoid the hangover big-box brands cause. This builds over about 2 weeks. Judge it on night 14, not night 1."
  • Klaviyo: waitlist → welcome → abandoned (3) → post-purchase w/ Night-2 expectation email + Night-14 review + Day-80 replenishment → winback.
  • Metrics: CVR 3–5%, CAC <$25, 90-day replenishment >30%, refund <8%.
  • 30-day: W1 formulate + store; W2 film 15 "check your form" + seed 30 sleep creators + Founding 100; W3 pre-sell + order; W4 fulfill + replenishment on + boost winner.

CONDITIONAL 9 — DOG CALMING CHEWS · $79

The wedge: Sell the OCCASION, not the bottle — July 4th fireworks, thunderstorms, the vet, travel. Occasion-selling spikes urgency and gives you a calendar of built-in demand. Attach a $19 dental water additive for AOV. DTC-only (retail = a state-registration nightmare); register states progressively as you scale.

  • Suppliers: US pet-supplement co-packer (NASC members). Search private label dog calming chews NASC US. Ask: "NASC member? Actives + mg per chew (L-theanine, L-tryptophan, chamomile, low-dose melatonin)? Will you support state feed/supplement registrations? AAFCO-aware label? MOQ/cost?"
  • Brand names: Panic Season, Calm Paws Co., Steady, Storm Kitpick: Panic Season (owns the occasion).
  • Grand Slam Offer ($79): "Panic Season Kit" (90-day calming chews) + occasion guide (fireworks/storm/vet game-plans) + "Works by your next storm or refund — keep the bag." Attach: $19 dental water additive at checkout (ReConvert one-click).
  • Publish mg of every active on-pack (transparency = trust in pet). DTC-only.
  • 3 hooks: (1) "July 4th is in [X] days and your dog is about to have the worst night of the year. Do this now." [dog under a table] (2) "Vets won't tell you the mg that actually calms a dog. We print it on the bag." (3) "POV: fireworks start, and for the first time your dog just... sleeps."
  • Organic engine: dog-owner/rescue creators + the occasion calendar (4th of July, storm season, NYE, vet visits) = pre-scheduled demand spikes. 18–20% commission. Boost around each occasion.
  • Product page: hero "Get ahead of Panic Season"; mg-per-chew transparency panel; occasion game-plans; NASC/US-made; Loox video of calm dogs; occasion guarantee; dental-additive attach.
  • Expectation copy: "Two things: give a test dose on a calm day first — a few dogs get drowsy or loose stool as they adjust, and you want to know your dog's response before the big night. And timing matters: give it 60–90 min BEFORE the fireworks/storm, not during. Judge it across 2–3 anxiety events, not one — the first storm is calibration."
  • Klaviyo: waitlist → welcome → abandoned (3) → post-purchase w/ "test-dose + timing" email pre-occasion + post-event review + Day-80 replenishment + occasion reminders (pre-4th, pre-NYE) → winback.
  • Metrics: CVR 3–5%, CAC <$25, dental-additive attach >20%, replenishment >30% (seasonal spikes), refund <8%.
  • 30-day (time it to an occasion): W1 co-packer + store; W2 film 15 occasion videos + seed 30 dog creators + Founding 100; W3 pre-sell into the occasion + order; W4 fulfill before the event + attach additive + boost.

The decision rule

  1. First store ever?Creatine for Women (#1). Lowest claims risk, validate on Supliful with zero MOQ, loudest hook, real replenishment. It teaches you the whole system on easy mode.
  2. Want recurring revenue baked in?Shower Filter (#4). The cartridge is the business, and it self-funds the Hair Kit (#6) as Phase-2.
  3. You already have an audience (marriage/mom → #2, PCOS → #3, dog owners → #9)? Build to your unfair advantage — a warm audience beats a better product.
  4. Everything else is Phase-2. Do not run two SKUs at once. Get one product past $10k/mo, then fund the next winner with its cash — never with new capital.

Build manual. One product, one 30-day plan, customer cash funds inventory, organic + affiliates funds growth. Execution is the only variable left.
